Unlike solid measuring surfaces that can absorb and retain heat from the sun, the open mesh construction doesn't retain heat like a solid surface, while allowing continuous airflow and water drainage around the fish.

At each end, SeaDek® foam sections provide structure while adding buoyancy, allowing the entire board to float if dropped in the water. The lightweight construction makes it easy to carry, store, and deploy whenever you need it.
